Focus apps for mac? Hey cortexans, Lately I notice that during the day I need a variety of apps, from mail/slack/MS Teams to my code editor annd terminal to personal stuff like my to do lists and calendar, but I find it hard to keep focus on the task at hand while everything is so easily accessible.

Toggl Desktop is a desktop app for leading time tracking tool Toggl. The Desktop app is a great companion for time tracking and productivity as it has advanced features like:
- Idle detection
- Tracking reminder
- Pomodoro timer
- Timeline
- Autotracker
It also supports keyboard shortcuts, has a menubar widget and works great offline.

Not working well on High Sierra
Seems to be only partial communication between iPad and MacBook. Please fix this as it’s a great app when it works.
Good mini-app, but where are all the web features?
Toggl is really great for tracking time, especially as a freelancer. I love the tracker that notes what apps you've been using, so you can look back over your day's work and figure out when you did work for each project, and when you've been procrastinating online.
The app needs a little development, though. When a task is paused because the computer has been idle or whatever, clicking 'Continue' creates a new session, rather than continuing the previous. It's hard to edit the length of tasks, or when you've many ones from the past day—you've to enter it manually for each one rather than visually dragging them in the timeline, and when you've the same task back-to-back it doesn't merge together.
Also disappointed that there's no To-Do functionality as there is on the web version, nor any way to see reports or other data that's available online. I'd prefer if this was contained within the one app rather than having to use another such as ToDoist as well. It could be a very powerful app if it took some notes from Futurenda or other automatic scheduling apps. On top of this, there doesn't seem to be any way from the app to open up the online version, which is quite annoying if you need to edit in bulk or check something and have to manually open up Safari and log into the website yourself.

Issues with continuing task
Often a task will be paused while you do another task temporarily. Clicking the green play button creates a new entry, of zero duration and doesn't actually continue the task. Making the app frustrating to use.
